The Purple Hair Dream
The Purple Hair Dream, how to achieve it? Well, you can go to the salon multiple times and sit for hours and be assured of great results depending on the amazingness of your hair gal or guy. Now I had no patience what so I ever, I wanted my purple hair and I wanted ASAP. I also did not have it in my creative budget to spend 500 dollars over the next few weeks to achieve this. Being the low, and I mean low maintenance type, you know the gal that does not get her nails done, things waxed, eyebrows threaded type. It was only a natural thing for me to impulsively tempt this purple hair undertaking. Since I have an aversion to sitting still, it worked out perfect. So how does one do it yourself for the purple hair dream?
Purple Hair Don't Care
Well, it took 3 days of staying indoors and a whole lot of bleach, as well as some great gals from Sally beauty to help. The first step was to of course, bleach the dark brown box hair dye from my hair. Which was not an easy thing to do, it is very similar I imagine to trying to get tar and feathers removed from one's body. Brassy hair is hard to pull off and let's just say it was not doing me any favors. This process involved a lot of trips to Sally's and a lot of beanies to hide my hair.
Things to expect while embarking on this endeavor, brassy hair. It takes a lot of bleaching to get your hair to the level of blonde needed for the purple hair dye to take to your hair. Yes, there is color corrector little packets you can add to counteract the brass but, to be honest bleaching and bleaching again is the only thing that will really work. I did this in 3 days and around 80 dollars but I made a few mistakes so you would come closer to around 60. I tried adding the purple color to my hair before it was ready so I had to go buy another tube. Here are some tips first off
First: tip buy a lot of bleach all at once and a lot of argon conditioner, it saves the humiliating trips to the store while undergoing the process.

After each bleaching process, which was mixing the bleach powder packet to the 40 developer, along with absolute perfection boost and waiting around 40 minutes before rinsing. After rinsing and washing with a good shampoo ( I use Renpure Originals which is zero sulfates, parabens, dyes and, a bunch of other crap that should not be in a shampoo and conditioner) add your deep conditioner a lot and leave it in for as long as possible. Around 30-40 minutes or longer. Then rinse and air dry your hair add a tiny amount of coconut oil. I did this 4 times. Do not blow dry or use any heat on your hair. Once you have reached as close as you dare to platinum blonde then you can use the dye. The argon oil hair dye does not require any developer.
