8. Desert Daisy Jewelry
Dessert Daisy Jewelry A Crystal Enthusiast with a Gypsy Soul
Emma Roberts comes from a family of creatives, growing up on a family farm where her parents used their talents to make sure we never noticed the lack of material possessions. Her mother gardened and sewed all of their clothes and her father raised the animals and built all the barns as our little farm grew. Together, they instilled in her the appreciation for craft, the value in handmade, and the understanding that a little of ourselves going into everything we create.
For a while he rebelled a bit against her artsy upbringing and found herself in a scientific job behind a desk, Astrophysics to be precise. Following her heart has led her on a winding path to where she is now, creating accessories that highlight the natural, raw beauty in the world. She travels all over the southwest to find the perfect stones, each one is hand selected by her for that extra something they seem to radiate.
Beauty to her does not lay in perfection, which means the stones she selects are picked for character and depth. She finds herself inspired by the unique energy of each stone, and sometimes when inspiration lags a good old fashioned desert hike is all that she needs to get it back.
She is also fascinated by the metaphysical studies that surround crystals. The place they have held in many cultures over the course of history shows their pull on our collective psyche, and the majesty of a stone that has been part of the earth for millions of years before becoming part of the jewelry she makes is what inspires her the most.
While she may have left that little farm behind long ago, and lived all over, she still applies those learnings to everything she crafts. Her jewelry is an extension of all the experiences she says she has been lucky to have, and I’m excited to share that little bit of me with anyone who wears it.
A woman after my own heart. Please check out her amazing items and designs. Just click on the photo to shop the product. Those crystal stone hair picks are amazing.

19. The Odd Portrait
The Odd Portrait Why yes this is our indie brand! I am Ariana Deats the owner designer and maker of everything in the shop. I have been designing jewelry for close to 13 years, but only since 2012 did I start to take it seriously and begin the journey of turning it into a brand. Having been a vegetarian on again off again vegan for 13 years it was not until a job in a little boutique that I had touched leather in a very long time. The artist in me took over and immediately I felt in love with working with it and my designs spiraled out control from there. Our style is a combo of boho, rocker, and festival fashion with an odd twist. We source the majority of our materials here in the US. I greatly hope to one day incorporate a full-fledged clothing line, but all in due time.
For many years designs have been swirling and whirling in my head as there was so much fashion that I craved but it was just non-existent. Hence we just made it ourselves. We love doing custom work so feel free to give us a shout to collaborate on any new fashion ideas and style you may think of. This brand was birthed out of a discovery and a journey to become free, to finally be who I am and showcase my unique style. Our message is to embrace who you are, be free and rock on.
Here are but a few of the hundreds of our handcrafted items just click the pic to explore more.

25. Blood Milk
Blood Milk Jewels One of my personal favorites as it hits home with my occasional dark and brooding soul. JL Schnabel founded and created this brand, who is this amazing artist and designer you may be asking yourself well here is a little about her.
She began Blood Milk 2008, between the wake of two separate events in her life; the first her one year anniversary of completing an MFA in writing with apparently no jobs on the horizon, as well as the sudden death of her father whom she was estranged. She became consumed with questions about the afterlife and things of that nature.
It was from this obsession of these questions and from her grief, that she began to make objects for herself. Due to her academic background in literature, she embedded in her designs personal tales, historical contexts like the Victorian Spiritualist, which was a movement in the late Victorian era, a number of people at this time the late nineteenth century had admitted to having communication with ghosts or aka the dead. It was also known as the Spiritualism movement, it attracted people from different social classes, including Queen Victoria. It was particularly attractive to females since they were regarded as more spiritual than men. Interestingly, spiritualists were concerned with and called for the recognition of women's rights.
JL has battled a melancholy demeanor she admits and has sensitive tendencies. She says one of her main "cures" "is to find truthful beauty everyday, to behold it and appreciate it before it slips away into the ether".She believes jewelry can serve as soothing objects, she puts passion and love and a lot of thought into her creations and works. This is not mere jewelry it is all that encompasses so much more. Here our some of our favorite pieces by this amazing women.
26. Skull Clothing
