Mad Tea
Written by Arina Deats
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Alice, she loved to read and play in the grass and pretty much just day dream all day thinking of things that frankly just shouldn’t be. Mad hatters in over sized handcrafted leather bow ties, white rabbits in spiked leather jackets, complete and utter nonsense until one day it became sense and came to be. We could call it a dream , but in a dream an ax-wielding queen with a leather spiked bustier is more along the lines of what one may call a very odd nightmare indeed. Generally one would have more common sense than to follow well a rather odd looking bunny down a very dark hole, but Alice lacked that sense seeing as she tumbled and tumbled down this very dark hole with no bottom in sight. Plop she went well it was more of a thud rather. One would have hoped it would have knocked a little sense into our dear Alice, but no such luck. What land had she tumbled to this time. There was an awful amount of leather and spikes and well some very amazing fashion indeed. Her eyes lite up like a Christmas tree at seeing all the fabulous handcrafted accessories. It was enough great fashion to drive one completely mad. “O mister Rabbit, wait for me” she cried while dusting off her dress, fixing her leather punk rock belt and scrambling to her feet. She was obviously not familiar with the phrase that curiosity killed the cat. She trips again falling down only to rise on her feet in a beautiful green meadow with lovely nonbiting geese flocking and honking all about. Making her way further along in the meadow she comes across a well dressed table full of tea and some odd random other things. Around the table were some rather odd looking slightly mad beautiful creatures.
The Tea Party
It Just Gets Odder
Now our Alice merrily goes on her way skipping over to the table rather uninvited you might say. Thank goodness it was only mad people inhabiting the tea party. The elderly March Hare with his dissolved shirt and over sized hat and goofy smile paired along with this stunning yet equally as mad young maiden. Together they were eating cup cakes and drinking tea chatting of things such as why does a raven have a writing desk yes I know completely mad but fashionable with their leather bow ties and fancy handcrafted rocker chic cuffs. They spy Alice but seeing as she had some rather good rocking accessories they carried on as if nothing happened. They play a couple rounds of croquet drink more tea and rambling on about only mad things mad people talk about. All the while unbeknownst to to the completely oblivious Alice she was being trailed by the Queen of Hearts who had a very unhealthy obsession of needing to take the heads off people, and well Alice did have a rather pretty head it would have gone well upon her wall of heads to be honest and in her defense. She was not a bad queen just a mad queen with a really bad temper and some unusual or shall we say odd interior design style. Nonetheless the action had begun once Alice realized her pretty little head was about to be separated from her body and put upon a platter. She finally had gathered enough sense to run and run she did.
The Queen
She had received no help at all from The March Hare or the Mad Hatter or the odd White Queen always flitting around doing absolutely nothing. She realized she was not fit to be around mad people just the slightly odd.
Off With Her Head
Tumbling tumbling down into a darkness that wonders behold. The hunt for inspiration in the strangest of places. Where we stop nobody knows The thrill seeking adventures are yet to behold. Alice repeats this to her self as a rhyme of encouragement and bravery as she is chased by the entire land of wonderland creatures from small to tall from old to young they grab their mallets and candle sticks. They pursue relentless until all of sudden the Queen of Hearts gets distracted by a flock of geese” she thinks o they will mount well on my wall and off she goes in pursuit of new prey. Now our dear Alice must find the hole she had once tumbled down to get to this wonderland and scurry her way back home. Good luck Alice hope you can find you way out. Or will the hole just take her to a new land of even stranger things filled with wonder and odd.
